We have a lot of favorite shows on college radio (shout outs to "Things Get Dusty Sometimes" and "The James Joyce of Radio" on WVKR!!) but the one show that consistently astonishes us is PHONING IT IN" on WBSR in Providence, RI.
We first found out about the show in early 2005 and we've been fans ever since. The premise: A band or artist calls into their show and plays live over the phone. Hence the lovely twist on the phrase, "phoning it in". They even went so far as to have The WoWz play "on" their show in early August. You can listen to that HERE.
