Quick updates:
Dashan Coram (of Huggabroomstik) has recorded an amazing new Secret Salamander record called Beebles that RiYL will be putting out. Not only are the songs his best yet (hear two of them over in the socialis m section) but the record was recorded by Major Matt Mason USA and features a million awesome guests, including members of The Wowz, The Baby Skins, The Jeffrey Lewis Band, Schwervon!, Dufus, The Moldy Peaches, American Anymen, Art Sorority 4 Girls and Huggabroomstik. Beebles will likely be the first in a series of micro-pressings that we hope to integrate in alongside our regularly-pressed material (ie, smaller runs with less conventional packaging!)
In mid-January, Chris Maher will be flying West to the Seattle / Olympia / Portland area with the wonderful Phoebe Kreutz in order to have fun and play some shows. The two are currently suring up dates, but will definitely be hitting Portland on January 17th. Ideally, by these shows, Chris's first EP, tentatively titled, Epigram on the Death of a Feeling, will be ready for consumption in some form or another. The EP, being released by Luv-A-Lot Records, is currently in production. Stay tuned for more info on that.
