ITS OFFICAL. Recommended If You Like Records is now officially in the business of making records. Today, I sent out the master for the first RiYL release, REC001 (the Morningsides' "Summer Song b/w A Mole Hill Is A Mound" 7"), to United Record Pressing in Nashville, TN. Within a week and a half, I should have the test pressings in hand, with the actual records following about two weeks later. Artwork for the single is still being finalized, but this is still very exciting news - the ball is rolling!! For some reason, I assumed this day would never come... but maybe its best not to count my chickens before they hatch (into nice little 7" circles of colored vinyl?).
In other news, the folks at StickerGuy.com have informed us that our stickers should be printed and in the mail by now. Assuming this is true, they will be available shortly. As for REC002, we're still waiting on the Daggerhearts master to arrive from France - the original copy that was sent to us a few weeks ago got cracked somewhere between Paris and Poughkeepsie. Once the new copy arrives, however, work on that release, as well as the REC000 Sampler, will recommence and the tracklistings for both will be finalized. Stay tooned?
